Winter Covenant Groups

What: Winter Covenant Groups are small groups of no more than eight participants who meet weekly via Zoom to explore questions of faith and encourage one another in their faith journeys.

Who: Congregants who desire a closer relationship with other congregants, God, and neighbors. Participants will covenant together to meet weekly and maintain confidentiality. No experience needed. Previous participants are welcome.

When: Beginning the week of January 10 and continuing through the week of February 7.

Why: The purpose is to help participants deepen their roots as a faith community and thus be transformed into bearing more fruitful discipleship, and to learn from and with one another and to support one another in their faith journey.

How: Facilitators will lead participants in exploring together questions such as the following:

  • Where do you sense God’s presence in your life?
  • Where do you sense God’s absence in your life?
  • What helps you make space to listen for God’s still small voice?
  • How have you lived your faith this past week?
  • When have you felt closest to God?
  • When have you felt farthest from God?
  • Describe a time when your faith was strengthened through an interaction with another person.

No experience or reading required. Groups will pray together during their weekly meetings. Daily personal prayer and meditation encouraged.
